Sustainability

„We Care“.

It's our way of saying that we truly care, and we're dedicated to proving it through concrete actions. For ourselves and for future generations.

We Care

In our hotel, “We Care” means taking responsibility for the world around us. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact through sustainable practices and embracing a greener future. It also means caring for people by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that enhances the well-being of both our guests and our team. Our goal is to become increasingly GREEN, just like the colour that represents us. We invite you to join us and our team on this journey towards a more sustainable future, step by step.

At Hotel Melodia del Bosco, we place special importance on the quality of food and water, offering our guests an authentic and sustainable gastronomic experience.
At breakfast, we offer a touch of authentic flavor thanks to organic eggs sourced directly from a farm in our valley. Our agricultural partners, Dolomitüs, are dedicated to raising free-range hens, ensuring high-quality eggs. We offer fair-trade tea and coffee in the hotel, and we get our bread fresh daily from the Seppi bakery in Corvara.
In addition, we are proud to present the Granderwasser system we have installed in our hotel. It is a water revitalizer that enhances water quality, and the benefits are truly numerous. The Grander water revitalization is based on the principle of information transfer and naturally brings the water to a very high, stable, and biologically valuable quality.

In our interiors, we have carefully chosen local materials to create a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. The Swiss pine, for example, used for the ceiling of our Junior Suites, not only gives the rooms natural elegance but also releases its characteristic scent, known for its beneficial effects on the well-being of our guests.
To ensure the quality of our services and maintain a connection with the local community, we entrust work inside the hotel to local artisan companies. This collaboration not only supports the local economy but also ensures attention to detail and a high-quality result.
In addition, we are proud to collaborate with La Spona, a social center in our valley. Every year, together with them, we carry out projects that promote social inclusion and enhance the resources of our community.

We are firmly committed to reducing waste, and this is reflected in our choice to use glass straws instead of plastic ones, thereby reducing plastic pollution in our environments.
As far as water supply is concerned, we have chosen to offer our guests water bottled directly in the hotel, eliminating the use of single-use plastic bottles and thus reducing our ecological footprint.
We collaborate with UNISOAP, a non-profit organization, by sending our soaps to them. This collaboration not only provides jobs for people with disabilities but also produces new soaps for charity to those in need, promoting hygiene and well-being in disadvantaged communities.
To promote mindful resource management, we encourage our guests to reuse towels. In addition, they have the option to choose whether to have their room cleaned daily or not, thus contributing to reduced water and detergent consumption.
We also encourage our guests to bring a reusable bottle during their stay and take it with them on their excursions, so they can refill it directly from the natural springs they will encounter along the way.

In our values, sustainability is fundamental. We are committed to minimizing waste by educating our guests to take their waste with them on their trips for proper disposal. In addition, we promote the use of tap water, which is of excellent quality in our region, to reduce the use of plastic bottles.

Each of us has the power to make a difference, and through these daily actions, we can contribute to the protection and preservation of our wonderful mountains.

Here are some tips on how to behave in the mountains:

    Respect nature
    - Avoid excessive noise
    - Do not litter, respect plants and wildlife
    - Follow signs: Stay on marked trails and respect local instructions
    - Greet fellow hikers: It is customary to greet each other when passing in the mountains. A simple greeting like "Bun de" (good morning) or "Bun domisdé" (good afternoon) is appreciated
    - Give first aid: If necessary, provide first aid. If the situation requires it, alert the mountain rescue service
    - Yield right of way: If the trail is narrow, give way to those going up. Usually, those going down have no problem taking a short break
    - Respect livestock: Observe animals from a distance without disturbing them; avoid feeding or petting them

By following these good practices, we can all enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the mountains responsibly and sustainably.
